What is Operation Christmas Child?
Operation Christmas Child delivers great joy and the Good News of Jesus Christ to children in need around the world through gift-filled shoeboxes. Each box packed full of quality toys, school supplies, and personal care items becomes a tangible expression of God's immense love for the child. For many, it is their first gift ever! Delivered by our local church partners, shoebox gifts provide an opportunity to present the Gospel to boys and girls in a clear, child-friendly way.

Collection Process:
Different and specific items that are purchased or made are collected each month. See the available list under the OCC menu item. Each month's list will also be included in the bulletin. Place donated items in the designated box by the table at the back of the sanctuary. This process continues through the year until about the first of September. The months of September and October are for preparing the items and boxes for packing. The boxes are packed basically the same; the exception is whether the box is for a boy or girl, and which age category, 2-4, 6-9, or 10-14 years old.

Packing the Boxes: A date will be set to come together as a church body to pack the shoeboxes, usually in September. Once the boxes are packed and marked, the boxes will then be delivered to a distribution center.

Other Information: Most importantly, "pray without ceasing" (1 Thess. 5:17) for the child who will receive the shoebox gift. We should also pray for the family to also be receptive to the Good News of Jesus Christ; the pastor of the church who delivers the shoebox gift, and their community to be transformed by the Gospel.
A donation of $10.00 per box is critical to cover shipping costs. Collection bottles are also available.
